This door style is placed perfectly inside the frame of the cabinet, making the doors and drawers flush with the face frame of the cabinet.
Building cabinets with inset doors requires a level of fit and finish you won’t find with any mass produced cabinets. Inset doors have to be manufactured with a higher level of precision craftsmanship to fit inside the face frame.
Inset Cabinetry is Offered with Two Different Hinge Styles
The exposed barrel hinge is visible when the doors are shut. Most kitchen designers choose this hinge for its authentic and beautiful look. The concealed hinge cannot be seen when the cabinet door is closed. This hinge is self closing and the doors are more easily adjusted if needed. Some kitchen designers do choose the concealed hinge if they are wanting the cabinetry to have cleaner lines.
